The founder and president of Justice Energy in Los Angeles, California, Bryan Kranitz handles all business development and operations duties for a company that focuses on energy efficiency. Outside of the office, Bryan Kranitz supports several nonprofit organizations, including Heal the Bay.

A nonprofit group focused on cleaning the coastal waters of the greater Los Angeles area, Heal the Bay uses science, community involvement, and education to fulfill its mission. Founded in 1985 by a group of citizens concerned about public safety in response to proper sewage treatment, the nonprofit also aims to reduce water pollution, protect habitats, and improve the area’s water infrastructure.
One of the ways Heal the Bay helps the community is through beach cleanups. On November 17, 2018, the organization will host a cleanup event at Hermosa Beach Pier. The Nothin’ But Sand: Hermosa Beach Cleanup event is scheduled for two hours and will occur regardless of weather. Though cleanup supplies and snacks will be provided for registered volunteers, individuals are encouraged to bring their own cleanup supplies, such as a bucket, trash bag, and garden gloves.
